Mellott, Dec 27 - Miss Achie Crumley, 54, was found dead at her country home, 3 miles northwest of here at 1);45 o'clock this morning, evidently a victim of a stroke earlier in the morning. Helen Martin, a neighbor, called at the Crumley home where Miss Crumley lived alone and being unable to arouse anyone, looked in the window and saw Miss Crumley lying on the floor.  She called Everett Wilbur, another neighbor who broke in the door. Miss Crumley had been dead several hours, according to a doctor who was called. She was fully dressed and apparently had been kindling a fire in the kitchen stove when she was fatally stricke. Coroner Frank Shelby investigated. Miss Crumley was born Oct 10, 1880 in the house where she died. She was a daughter of John and Alice (Beaver) Crumley. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church at Newtown and never married.  A brother, Monroe Crumley lives in the same community and she leaves a nephew and niece at Rockville. - kbz
